I want to share something with everybody that helped me out alot. I have been having the hardest time finding my Grudis and Haber ancestors in Luzerne in 1910. As you may know, PA has a searchable miracode index for 1910 that lists children and spouses and ages. (I use Ancestry.com, but I think you can find it with other services or on CD ROM, etc.) Instead of searching using a last name, I used keywords. The keywords I used were first names of children, spouses, or head of household, or county, etc. I left the last name out completely. I found that that year, Grudus was indexed as Ruddis, and known Habers were indexed under Duhoish (looks like my great grandmother had a pevious marriage and Haber is the second marriage and is the adopted name of my grandfather.) I probably never would have found these two families otherwise. I hope this helps someone...
