Hello Again Everyone, Well since last week I have run across some information that may be part of what I am looking for, but I need proof. The following information has been gathered from various sources including IGI and ancestral files, and a compilation forwarded to me by a researcher that had been completed by a Marilyn Kirby in about 1983. Unfortunately the address and phone number for Marilyn are no longer current, so I can’t verify where she got her information. Hopefully someone out there in Luzerne land will recognize something! Elizabeth B Hancock. b Sept 9, 1824, m Joshua Fuller Reynolds, d Nov 23, 1913 3. John L. Hancock b 1826 Wilkes Barre, Luzerne, Pa m Elizabeth ? before 1845, m Mary Frances Shaen or Shane before 1854, d m 13, 1885 SF, Calif. 4. James Hancock bJan 1828, m Maria Hurlbut, d Nov 12, 1892 5. Maggie, This William is my 4G Grandfather. I have no information at all on the children you list below, but had another daughter named Sarah (b. abt 1839) who married Benjamin WELCH. They had a daughter named Miriam. My line, however, descends from William's first marraige to Elizabeth DENISON...they had a son named Hiram who married Mary BROWNE, a girl supposedly from Ireland. How does this connect to you, besides the common William HANCOCK? I only have one more generation back from William, his father Jonathan.
