Why I right, however, is to remind all (I thought of this after seeing your post) that it is also good to post data from these forms to Post-Notes on Rootsweb. That way, someone does not have to find a homepage to obtain valuable data, or to get in contact with the one posting it. Here is the way to get there. Let's choose William H. GORDON, as you list below: Go to: http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/ Enter what data you can. SSN is the easiest for entry. Other data for a search. Okay! Up pops your William H. GORDON. See the far right column? Click on Add Post-em. Now it is true that if you are not registered (free) with Rootsweb, and thus given a username and password, which is good for all Rootsweb transactions of data, you will not be able to get in. Why if you could, and if you were malicious, you could wreck a lot of people's hard work! But if you get that user name and password, you can put in your email address, homepage address, data galore on your relative, and thus have one of the best ways of being found by others, which is half the work and more of finding ancestors. I get much, much more success by others finding me than I do by searching for them. So please do not pass up this opportunity folks!
