    3. Wilkes-Barre Evening Leader, Wed, Apr 16, 1890 MARRIAGES: In Wilkes-Barre Apr 12 by Rev A Griffin, W D CASTERLINE, of Scranton, and Miss CARRIE THOMAS, of Wanamie DEATHS: PATRICK O’BOYLE, brother of HUGH O’BOYLE, of the late firm of O’BOYLE and MCGREEVEY, died at his late residence in the borough of Jessup on Monday evening last, of pneumonia. His remains were brought to this city last night and now lie at the residence of his sister, Mrs WILLIAM MALOY, North Main Street, from which place the funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. The friends of Rev P J O’BOYLE, formerly of Pittston, but who of late years has had charge of a parish in the city of Omaha, were greatly shocked yesterday by the receipt of a telegram announcing his sudden death in that city. Father O’BOYLE was raised in Pittston, where he had many friends who will regret his sudden taking off. Miss JOSEPHINE WEEKS, a domestic in the employ of David Hess, was found dead in the house of the latter in West Pittston this morning. She had been suffocated by coal gas. The family had just removed from East Pittston and were just getting settled in their new home MINE DEATH: MICHAEL MCPHILLIPS, aged fifty, was struck by a runaway mule yesterday morning in slope #4 in Jeanesville and thrown under moving cars, receiving injuries from which he died a few hours later. Five months ago his son was killed in the same slope. BRIEFS: The Nottingham mine, at Plymouth, started work yesterday and the Stanton, near the lower end of town, this morning. Arrangements will be made so the Stanton can work steadily without danger from the South Wilkes-Barre mines. Pittston’s new mounted mail carrier is JOHN MILLER, a veteran soldier and GAR man The latest flat-iron is heated by electricity Ed, Phoenix

    3. Hi ! Do you have any of the records for the years 1915 & 1919 ? That is when my relatives died, specifically Con Mc Monagle in 1915 and his wife Honor Hughes Mc Monagle in 1919, both buried in St Mary's Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre. Thanks, Kathy ----- Original Message ----- From: ejlangley <ejlangley@email.msn.com> To: <PALUZERN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2001 11:33 AM Subject: [PALUZERN] Wilkes-Barre Evening Leader, Wed, Apr 16, 1890 > Wilkes-Barre Evening Leader, Wed, Apr 16, 1890 > > > MARRIAGES: > In Wilkes-Barre Apr 12 by Rev A Griffin, W D CASTERLINE, of Scranton, and > Miss CARRIE THOMAS, of Wanamie > > > DEATHS: > PATRICK O'BOYLE, brother of HUGH O'BOYLE, of the late firm of O'BOYLE and > MCGREEVEY, died at his late residence in the borough of Jessup on Monday > evening last, of pneumonia.
