The 1873 Atlas maps are necessarily very large. Otherwise you couldn't read any of the names. The only way you can print the big ones (possibly) is to save them to your hard disk; then bring them up in a graphics program like Photoshop or PaintShopPro. Then you can manipulate the size and do many other things. When I did them I tried to make them as small as possible and still read most of the names. However, I was working from tape print-outs so the quality is not very good. If I could ever get hold of an original or old duplicate original, I could do much better.
