Folks, As you know, my father's lines are "from" Luzerne County. That is, my BURST, SOMMERS, KELLY, POTTS, LARGE, BROGAN, MILLER, CATTANEO are all at one time, usually for years, to be found in Luzerne. Now I am not sure where most of them are from, but I do know that the ones I am aware of come through Canada, and quite probably from England. The time period for most would have been the first third or so of the 19th century. POTTS appears to be the last quadrant of the 19th century. So many of us, likely, have our lines having roots in Merry Olde England. There is an 1881 online U.K. Census Service (Free!) at: http://censusuk.co.uk I have been asked about this, since my request, and since I am having trouble getting in touch somewhat due to computer troubles of a serious nature, I am taking the liberty of letting one and all on Luzerne know of this, since I am aware that it affects a number with Luzerne Roots.
