Ironically, it was in the Wilkes-Barre City Directory that I learned the date of death of my great grandfather, and it remains the only source (such as it is) of information of his date of death. Actually, the Wilkes-Barre City Directories often do give dates of deaths of individuals (who are regularly listed in them, I believe) who have died within the previous year, for the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries. I actually have found these directories to be rather useful in many ways, and am quite grateful for them. I would like to know how to access the Wilkes-Barre Record Almanacs, and I'd especially like to know if they are available on-line. If anyone would help me, I'd be very appreciative.
