Greetings! Looking for any who have a connection to Harris of Luzerne (KINGSTON area) during and before 1820's. I am looking for all the children of all the males of these lines. We are searching for the following HARRIS family: William Harris b. about 1798 PA, who m. Betsy SHARP(E). Their son Charles was b. in 1823/24 in KINGSTON, PA. Wm. and Betsy, with young children, left for WAYNE COUNTY by 1828. My grandfather spoke of a Peter Harris, who as a young man escaped native attacks (possibly the wyo. massacre) by hiding in a hollow log. He never said we were descended from this Peter, though I think that was his intention to impart.
