Just thought of another question. An obituary in the Wayne county Independent (1900) states that Charles Harris son of the late william harris was b. on July 23, 1824 in Kingston PA. He came with his parents to Hemlock Hollow in 1828. Hemlock Hollow is in Paupack twp, wayne county. But what were the boundaries of Kingston twp back in 1823?? (borough was not established yet) and-- maybe harder to answer-- how do I know if the person writing the obit. in 1900 was going by the "1900 kingston" when that was stated? Seems like it would have to refer to kingston of the early 1800's. guess that's why obits. are only clues and not primary records! Primary sources are hard to find for the early 1800's, it seems. thanks for your thoughts Holly Jagger
