If you follow route 20A starting just south of Buffalo, NY you will get to Silver Lake. I would guess it's about 80 miles, about 1 1/2 hours to drive. The closest town you might be able to find on a map of Western New York is Warsaw. A beautiful drive in the fall - but can be treacherous at this time of year. It's well into the 'mountains'.
