    1. [PALUZERN] BEHLING, HARTIG, LEARN,Elam WILLIAMS
    2. These connected families, except for WILLIAMS, have roots in Germany. I'm hoping someone else has had some luck in tracing these roots back there. Henry BEHLING, was the immigrant, don't know when he came, nor his wife's maiden name, for sure. It might be BERGOLD. They settled in Wilkes Barre, where I found them on the 1870 census with their 8 children. Their son, Henry, was born in 1862 and died in 1931 in White Haven. He married Kate HARTIG in 1884. She was the daughter of Zachariah HARTIG, who was also born in Germany. Zachariah HARTIG arrived in this country in 1857 through the port of Baltimore, but he wasn't naturalized until 1880 and that was in Luzerne Co. His sponsor was Heinreich HARTIG. No one in the family knows what relationship they were. They ended up in White Haven, also. Katie BEHLING, was the daughter of Henry and Kate mentioned above. She married Fred WILLIAMS, a son of Elam WILLIAMS and Susannah LEARN. Elam and Susannah were from Monroe Co. PA., but lived in White Haven for some years and died there. Any help would be greatly appreciatedl Pattye Williams
