Hello everyone, Does anybody know who would have the cemetery records for SS. Peter & Paul Church in Plains? Interment records? Etc..? My Problem; I am looking for someone (family) buried there, Thomas & Alexandria Kubowski (immig. from Poland ca.1907, they lived in Plains), he and his wife have a stone with their name and the birth year - death year on the stone. In speaking with Thomas' son, he says his father died in 1929, which is the year on the stone. He also remembers the month of death as being in July. So in setting forth to recover the death certificate, it came back as "NO - RECORD CERTIFICATION." It continued to say, "that no original record of this death is registered." What exactly does this mean? His father supposedly died in an explosion in the mines. He was using that igniting 'paper' and it didn't go off, so he went in after some time to see why, and it went off. This is what he remembers. So I checked into the newspapers for July 1929 for a story or an obituary and found nothing!!! Nothing for July or any of the other 11 months in that year. What am I doing wrong? What am I forgetting? What should I do next? I thought if they buried him there they should have the record of it, right? Can some kind soul help me, please? ~ Cheryl
