Sharon, First: Thanks so much for your volunteering. Luzerne is not the easiest county to find family in. My name is Vince Summers, but my family did not spell it so. Usually Sommers is how it appears, unless misspelt. Do you see a Martin SOMMERS who would have died about 1885 to 1895, I think? This is one of my missing fellows! Folks... I am emailing Schuylkill and Luzerne Counties with regard to Bridge Kavanagh LARGE's death. A cousin, Deborah Fox, has received a letter written by her while she still lived in Ardara, Kilkenny, Ireland, dated Jan 15th 1844, in which she requests, as a widow, some day or night covering, since her husband had died just recently. In fact, I had listed his death date as 1844 previous to this. Likely I now have to list his death as before 1844... Does anyone have ready access to death certificates, or other death information for the year 1865? She is believed to have died at that time. Either Schuylkill or Luzerne. Thanks, Vince Summers

Gayle: How wonderful of you to pass this on to the students and all others. I am finding that many people never talked about the generations before them. I am having a difficult time now because of that. There are also families that do not like to share this information. If I knew this then, I would have been asking questions since I could talk. That would have had to be when to start since you could get so little information. Thanks to people like you, a teacher, you are passing on good and wonderful information which will be much appreciated in the future. Isn't that what it all should be about.
