Larissa, I think I might have found out about the Quinn surname being in our family tree. My mom had a cousin named Joseph Jackson. Joseph's wife was named Mary Wills. Mary had several brothers and sisters. I think one of her sisters married into the Quinn family. I will have to do more research on this to be sure since I am putting together information that I found. I'm sure the connection was in Lithuania. Karoline might have been the wife of some Urbanowicz. Do/did you have relatives in Mt. Carmel? She lived on Locust Street according to the manifest. I'd like to get her maiden name (if in fact she was a married lady). Alis If there is a connection it would have to be in Lithuania. I know all off the descendants of my grandfather that were born in the US and there is no Karoline. I have not found out the real surname of my paternal grand father. I know with some certainty that there was a suffix after Urban. His father who remained in Lithuania was Adam; his mother was Filimay Davidas. He had a brother Ignatz and Sisters Rogalia and Gaskowa. Listers, Hoping for some guidance here. We find family records that indicate these two were Of KINGSTON, then left for Wayne County and settled there: HARRIS, William b. 13 Aug. 1798 PA, married Betsey SHARP (b. 1794 CT) by 1820; found in Wayne by 1828. William died 5 Mar. 1869 Lakeville PA. HARRIS, Louisa b. 10 Aug. 1809 PA, married Ephraim KILLAM (b. 1807 PA) on 6 May 1831. Louisa died 16 Apr 1883. We think William Harris somehow met and married Betsey who was already living in Lakeville, they lived in Kingston from 1821 through abt. 1828 (three children born there), and then relocated to Lakeville. Ephraim was living next door in his father John Killam's home, thus Louisa would have met and married Ephraim by 1831. Looking for parents of William HARRIS, and relationship with Louisa. Siblings? Searching census records, Louisa Harris KILLAM is found up through 1860. Not finding her in 1870/1880. Would like to know where her parents were born, which 1880 census should tell. IF I can find her. If Louisa died 1883, are there any death records of that era in existence? We find no Obit. in Wayne for her. Regards & thanks for your thoughts, Holly

I feel that I have gleaned all the possible information that I needed for myself. This bank has scanned newpaper articles for the Wilkes-Barre Times newpaper for the period 1877 to 1922. I have found a lot of valuable information such as obituaries and marriages. If you do a search it will bring up a "teaser" article and if you want to read the entire article you have to subscribe or go to the library and look it up on microfilm. I have tried copying the articles and forwarding them but when they are received they are difficult to read. If you search this database and find an article you would like to see, send me the search criteria you used and the number of the article and I will do my best to find it and type the information in an email. _GenealogyBank.com - Find Ancestors | Family History Records_ (http://www.genealogybank.com/gbnk/keyword.html) I will do the lookups in my spare time and since I will have to type them it may take some time to get back to you but I will do my best to help out fellow "genies". Sharon, I visited the site. I found a bonanza of stuff. As far as Luzerne is concerned, I see two relatives at present: Martin BURST Martin Burst Date: May 14, 1909 Location: Pennsylvania Paper: Wilkes-Barre Times Pierce FOLEY Pierce Foley Date: October 23, 1907 Location: Pennsylvania Paper: Wilkes-Barre Times Date: October 23, 1907 Location: Pennsylvania Paper: Wilkes-Barre Times Of these, the one I know least about is Pierce FOLEY. The most direct fellow for me is Martin - a direct line. Pierce is not. Martin's parents, etc., remain obscure to me, as does his place of origin - alternatively listed as being British, Canadian, and a New Yorker! But I guess the most that can be gained is about Pierce. Can you reveal these to me? Thanks, Vince
