    2. Hi List, I'm searching for great-great grandmother Agnes Maleczek Skowron. Born in Poland, came to Wilkes-Barre after 1916. Settled on farm on a hill that she ran as a boarding house for miners (that's the story anyway). Agnes had at least 3 daughters, Victoria, who settled in Michigan; Sophie, who married a Zavatski; and Tessie, who married Ralph Moharski. Tessie had four children: Helen, Alice, Thelma, Martin. Sophie had two sons, Steven and Jack. She may have had daughter named Sissy. Agnes died at age 92 of gangrene after her hand got caught in a wringer washer.     2. Hi all, I am looking for info on the following people: EMANUEL and HENRIETTA FAHNESTOCK, they were immigrants from Germany. I only know their names and that they had a son (my great grandfather) named Charles. CHARLES WILLIAM FAHNESTOCK was born on Oct. 24, 1882 in Susquehanna, Juniata COunty, PA. He changed his name to CHARLES W. JONES on order to get more work. He married EMMA CHERRY and they raised their kids in Wilkes-Barre, PA. EMMA CHERRY had a brother named FRED CHERRY that served in WWI in France. He was exposed to mustard gas there and had breathing problems for the rest of his life. She also had a sister named ANNIE CHERRY (Ann). Emma was born in Sept. 1887, in Wilkes-Barre, I think. SHe died in Wilkes-Barre in April 1975. Her parents may have been ELISABETHA GOTZ and JACOB SCHENZ. If anyone has any info, please contact me. William couldn't provide for Bernard, so he was sent to live with "Uncle Ed Brown & Aunt Kret" who operated a cook shack for a logging camp in Forkston. Ed & Kret according to family lore had 10/11 kids and lived in Hollenbach, just 7 miles from Wyalusing and past Sugar Run...
