Searching surnames: HARRIS; BULEAU I am seeking documents in Luzerne County that would help identify the birthplace and parents of my g-g-g-grandfather Ebenezer Harris. He was born in Connecticut 9/15/1792; migrated to Luzerne Cty., PA, approx.1810, and married Abigail Buleau on 5/17/1812. On her marriage certificate Abigail's name is listed as "Nabby Blue." Buleau appears on her son's death certificate. She was b. 5/14/1790, probably in Rhode Island (1850 census), but according to her sons (1880 census) in France. Her maiden name might easily have been Blue or Ballou or any of several others. Their children included: (1) Seth (b. Luzerne Cty.,PA 1/31/1815; d.9/28/1886 in N.Chemung, Chemung Cty.,NY; (2) Daniel Riley. (b. Luzerne Cty., PA 3/3/1819; d.Horseheads, N.Y. 10/8/1903. By 1835 Ebenezer and Abigail had a probable total of 4 sons and 2 daughters. Between 1830 - 1835 the family moved to N.Chemung, Chemung Cty., NYS, where they are buried. Ebemezer died 1/31/1867; Abigail , 6/20/1876. It has been suggested that Ebenezer is a descendant of Walter Harris, but for various reasons I question this. Any suggestions? I've been working on this with my brother for YEARS. Helen

On the 31st of December 1887 Elizabeth ( Lizzie ) WATKINS married Curtin ROBERTS who, at the time , was residing in Plymouth. They were married by Moses Harvey, Minister of the Gospel. My grandmother was born in February of 1888 and 13 more children followed. I have tried for years to find out more about my gt.grandmother but to no avail. On the obit for Elizabeth it mentions a brother David WATKINS of Soranton. On the marriage it gives Elizabeths birth date as 22 February 1865 but I do not know where. I would very much like to be able to find this family line. Patty.....BC. Canada
Hi All, I have been having such a hard time with dear gr grandfather and gr grandmother GEORGE KING and MARGARET NYLAN. They came here about 1875 and settled in Pittston. A couple of people asked for more information abt my Flynns, so I decided to send along some of the assumptions that I've made abt my gggm's family based on St Mary of Mt Carmel baptismal records & the 1910 miracodex at ancestry, in case anyone is researching these families. Based on who sponsored some of Patrick & Marie Flynn Hennigan's children & whose children they in turn sponsored, I've tentatively assumed a sibling relationship between the following families: 1. Marie FLYNN (1850 in Ireland-bef 1910) m. Patrick C HENNIGAN (1845-c1919), son of Michael & Mary O'Malley Hennigan in 1869 in St Mary's Church, Dunmore, PA (see the Hennigan post) 2. Ellen FLYNN (c 1861) m. Francis P (Frank) GUNNING a. Mary GUNNING (c1887) b. Frank GUNNING (c1889) c. Theresa GUNNING (1890) d. Agnes GUNNING (c1893) e. James GUNNING (c1896) f. Bessie GUNNING (c1900) 3. Bridget FLYNN (c 1863) m. James SCOTT (c 1863) a. Edward SCOTT (c1886-1943) m. Frances MOORE (1894 - 1973), daughter of William & Marcella Regan Moore b. Mary SCOTT (c1888) c. Francis SCOTT (c1889) d. Sarah (Sadie) SCOTT (1891) e. Anna SCOTT (c1893) f. Harry SCOTT (c1895) g. James SCOTT (c1902) 4. Catherine FLYNN (c1863) m. Thomas O'MALLEY/MALIA (c1852) a. Mary O'MALLEY (c1879-bef 1970) b. Nellie O'MALLEY (c1881-bef 1970) c. Edward O'MALLEY (c1883-bef 1970) d. James O'MALLEY (c1885-bef 1970) e. Agnes O'MALLEY (1886-1970) f. Charlotte O'MALLEY (1889-aft 1970) g. John O'MALLEY (c1892-bef 1970) h. Katie O'MALLEY (c1896-bef 1970) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? All surnames: Ford, McClymer, O'Malley, Healey, Keisling, Rosenbauer, Huss, Hines, O'Brien, Mularkey All of these people are supposedly somehow related, but I haven't found all of the connections yet. When Elizabeth FORD MCCLYMER died in 1918, her two youngest children were adopted: Beatrice McCLYMER lived with Thomas & Jennie HEALEY O'MALLEY in Avoca & John McCLYMER became John (Jack) HINES of Pittston & NYC, son of Anthony & Sadie O'BRIEN HINES. According to Beatrice McClymer Keisling's daughter, the O'Malley-Healey's & Hines-O'Brien's were "cousins". I would like to exchange information with anyone researching any of these families. O'MALLEY: In 1880, James & Catherine O'MALLEY are listed in Pleasant Valley with three children, Ann, Ellen & Thomas. By 1900, Catherine O'Malley was a widow on Pittston St, living with her children Ella, Thomas & James. Four of her ten children were living, so the fourth is possibly Ann, married & in her own home. In 1910 they're still on Pittston St, but Thomas is the head of the household & he's living with his wife Jennie, son John & mother, Catherine. By 1920 they've moved to Grove St, and its Thomas & Jennie with children John, James, and Beatrice & mother-in-law, Margaret Healey. James O'MALLEY (c1845-bef 1900) m. Catherine ??? In 1920, Jennie & her family have moved back in with Margaret, Patrick is living next door with his wife & children, and I'm not sure where William got to. <g> John HEALEY (c1841-bef 1900) m. According to 'The Horn Papers', page 592 of biographicl sketches; 'Basil Brown, one of the earliest settlers on the Monongahela River, emigrated from Virginia to Northwest Virginia in 1763, and in 1768 located at Brown's Ferry below the mouth of Dunkard Creek. He worked on the first boat for the George Rogers Clark expedition at Greensboro in 1778. He joined this expedition, but after four years of adventure he returned to Greensboro, and after two years there located in Luzern Township, Fayette County. In 1786, he was granted a pension of twelve pounds for disbilities caused by the wounds he received at St. Clair's defeat. His later life was spent between Greensboro and Brownsville, where he lived with his sisters. He died at Brownsville in 1837.' Is anyone researching this Basil Brown and his family? I have searched for my Silas Brown, who migrated to Ashtabula Co., OH ca 1827, for many years. Would appreciate any information on this Basil and his family. Ila Brown LaRue
