I am looking for anyone who can help me find information on Eleanor Green born July 24, 1878 in Pennsylvania. Parents were James and Rebecca Carey Green. She married John T. Brennanin on July 04, 1894. They had two sons who died as babies then they had Rebecca, James and Edward. She then married Edward Davis and had 2 sons Lemuel and Phillip. She then married Thomas Hindmarsh and had 2 sons Donald and Thomas. I know she was still alive in 1922 as that is when her last son was born. I believe she died late 1930's or early 1940's she lived mostly in West Pittston and Pittston Township. Any help anyone can give me would be appreciated. Thank you for any help.
Would anyone know if the records still exist for the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home which was located on East Main St. in Plymouth? I have a relative who died in the 1950's and I am interested in getting these records if they still exist. Sandy
In answer to questions about the Arnold Benscoter Cemetery, now known as the Benscoter Cemetery: The Arnold Benscoter Cemetery is located in Union Twp, Luzerne Co, Muhlenburg, PA . It is just off the road between Hunlock Creek and Harveyville, PA. My gggrandfather David Benscoter has a 12-14 inch square-based stone about 6 to 8 feet high. This was toppled. Another stone that was toppled was a big rectangular stone that would need some hefty pushing to knock it over. There was quite a lot of vandalism and damage. My ggrandfather and ggrandmother, Francis Marion Benscoter and Emma Emily Arnold Benscoter are buried here. I am related to almost everyone buried inside of the fenced in area. Grandma Lillian "Gertrude" Benscoter Killian and Grandpa Theodore Reuben Killian, Uncle Francis 1917-1937 and Uncle Edgar Paul 1927-1948 are buried just outside the fence across the dirt access road from her parents. THANKS in advance. Tina

A friend, my son and I visited the Arnold Benscoter Cemetery this past November. Many of the tombstones had been tipped over and damaged on purpose. My friend said she had been there within the last two months and everything was okay then. Does anyone know anything about this? Was the cemetery damaged on Halloween night? Were the people who were responsible for this terrible action caught and punished? Are there any plans to upright the stones? Later that day, my son and I went to the home of the man who I thought was the caretaker, but he was not home. I assumed someone associated with the cemetery knew about the damage, but I cannot get this act of vandalism out of my mind. Can anyone answer my questions? Betty

I am looking for information on the following families: James KERRIGAN, born 1864 in Parsons, married Anna HENRY, born 1866 in Ashley. They had 5 children. James was a brakeman for the railroad. I have not been able to locate the death certificates or obituaries for either James or Anna, but they are both buried in St. Mary's cemetery in Hanover and James' year of death is listed as 1925. Anna's is listed as 1934. Family history is that Anna died in Albany, New York after gall bladder surgery, but New York State has no record of her death. Is there anyone who would be willing to check the obituaries during these years? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anna was the child of Michael HENRY and Catherine RYAN. Catherine was the daughter of Michael RYAN and Catherine HOGAN. Catherine died in 1914 in Ashley. According to the 1910 Census, she was living with her daughter, Anna, who was listed as the head of the household. James KERRIGAN was not living with the family at that time. At this point the family changed its name to CORRIGAN. According to my grandmother, NAN KERRIGAN (CORRIGAN), one of the 5 children of James and Anna, it was changed because that was the correct spelling of the family name. Does anyone have any connection to these families?

These are ridiculous rules re: ebay and folkfinders. If I find something that may be of some genealogical interest to someone on one of my lists, I will post it on the list whether it be an ebay item, yahoo or from any other site. Many times, that person is grateful for the opportunity to purchase their family Bible, family photo, (or other item) that otherwise would be lost forever to them. I shall continue this practice. If you wish to remove me from your list, do so. You are only harming the family genealogists. Other lists are much less strict regarding such practice. Ease up. Hello List! I have recently remembered that I have an edition of the "History of Tioga, Chemung, Tompkins & Schuyler Counties, New York, with Illustrations", copyright 1879. It is over 700 large pages long, with very small print, and only the bios of certain individuals and illustrations are indexed. But that leaves out so many people whose names are contained therein. I am finding in doing such lookups that there are many pioneers who came to or were known to be from Luzerne County, then relocated up there for many different reasons. Hence, why I am posting to this list as well. I would like to volunteer to do lookups in this book. However, because of the indexing, or lack thereof, I would have to insist on that all searches for names would also have to come affiliated with a county AND a township. That would be the only possible way I could search it at this time. Please email me directly, include the county and surname to be searched in the subject line, and I will do these lookups on a first come first serve basis. The book covers the early history of these counties and townships up to, it appears, the 1870's. It does seem to, in most cases, focus on the early pioneer settlers.
