I have recently been sent the Baptismal records for Wilhelm (William) POLTROCK. He was baptized in St. John's Lutheran Church in Nanticoke. His father was Theodore POLTROCK and it looks like his mother was Elizabeth GALSTER. Godparents were Charles GALSTER and Marie KUBITZKI. Thank you, Dina __________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape Webmail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com/
A recently found relative sent me some pictures of baptismal records. I think I can now link the August SHUMANKSI that is buried in the family plot in Fern Knoll, to the KUBITZKI's that I am researching. Apparently my great grandmother Mary had a few sisters. I now have Wilhelmine married to John KIERSTEIN(Kersteen) and Louise married to August SHEMANSKI. If anyone recognizes these names, I would be glad to hear from you. I have a SSN for someone, but when I try to track them down through the SSDI, nothing shows up. I've tried using just the number and using the soundex. What am I doing wrong? The number was given to me by the social security office when I requested a copy of a SS5 for a woman. They sent the copy, plus gave me the husbands number she had a claim under. Why can't I find the husband in the SSDI? I have this problem with 2 different people. Thanks, Donna

Apparently this is the week for criticizing the employees at the Court House. I was there a year ago and could not have asked for a better reception if I was paying for the service. I had three different people spend a considerable amount of time trying to help me. I could not find what I wanted and they helped look for other sources. Sometimes, I think that when we go into public offices we expect to be treated as if we are the only thing they have to do. They do have other duties and obligations. Perhaps some of your attitudes were not the best. Bill Fehlinger-NJ
