    1. [PALUZERN] Vital Records Address Needed
    2. Hi, I'm interested in sending away for a copy of my g-g-g grandfather's death certificate but I don't have an address to write to. He died after 1906 and I have the standard information they are asking for......name, date of death, city of death, etc., but it won't do me any good unless I have an address. Would there be someone amongst my fellow genealogist who might have the address and if so could someone please email the address to me. Thank in advance, Missy Zuber Atco, NJ Researching Bias, Fatula, Lucash & Zuber

The 1905 NJ census has John Eddy as widower living with the Shelley's in Elizabeth, N.J. Any information would be truly appreciated. Thank you, Pat Matthews N.J.

    1. [PALUZERN] White Haven help
    2. Paula
    3. I was wondering if someone might be able to assist me with a lookup in White Haven. First I am trying to determine which newspapers served White Haven in 1987. Does White Haven have their own newspaper and does the library have microfilm copies of this newspaper? I am looking to find an obit from June or July 1987. If anyone can attempt to locate this from the newspaper in White Haven, I can give them the exact month and name. I know the Hazleton Standard Speaker did not carry the obit. Also does anyone know how I can contact the Laurel Cemetery in White Haven? From what I understand, this is the only cemetery in White Haven. Thanks for all your help. Sincerely, Paula K

    1. [PALUZERN] McCracken and Smith Families
    2. Charles Eglise
    3. Hi, My 4th great grandparents Henry McCracken and Abigail Black had the following children: 1)Abigail, born 1770, my 3rd ggrandmother, married William Smith on April 5, 1792 in Shermans Valley, Perry Cnty. William Smith was born Mar. 1, 1770 in Wales, near Garating, England. 2) Samuel, born about 1772 3)Rebekah, born about 1774 4)John, born about 1776 Abigail and Samuel McCracken were born in Cumberland Cnty., Rebekah and John McCracken were born in Sunbury. I believe that Henry McCracken was born in 1725. Does anyone know the birth place of Henry McCracken and was he married prior to his marriage to Abigail Black? He died on Sept. 24, 1780 in North Umberland Cnty. Does anyone have any information regarding Samuel McCracken? During 1798 Alezander Clark conveyed 4 acres of land in Tyrone Twp.& Juanita Twp., Cumberland Cnty. to William & Abigail Smith. The 1800 Fed. census shows William Smith living in Wysox Twp., Luzerne Cnty., with 5 children in the home and 2 adults. The 1810 Fed. Census shows a William Smith in Ulster Twp., Lycoming Cnty., with 9 children in the home up to the age of 26, and 2 others, in the age bracket to be William and Abigail Smith. Does anyone know the names of the children of Abigail and William Smith? I can not find them on the 1820 census. William & Abigail Smiths son, Howard S. Smith( my gggrandfather) was born May 10, 1810 in Bradford Cnty., Penns. Howard married Azubah about 1829 and they had several children. Azubah's last name may have been Nelson. I have some information regarding Rebekah & John McCracken as well as William and Abigail Smith. Thank you for your help and I am willing to share with others. Sandy

    3. Please read the following information it may be important to all researchers. Tammy -----Original Message----- From: Linda Emerson [mailto:lindae@mlode.com] Sent: Friday, March 09, 2001 10:29 AM To: CASANFRA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Genealogy Spam Update It looks like the fictitious Family Discovery genealogy service has moved to Prodigy now. I contacted Prodigy this morning and they have asked that anyone who receives solicitation email from familydiscovery.com to take the following steps immediately: 1) Forward the entire Family Discovery message to: abuse@prodigy.com 2) Include the following information (most of which was provided by Rita from the Oconto County, WI list): Please note that the attached message is now being sent through your ISP service. They have been reported to various State Attorney General's Office on computer fraud, but it is hard to catch up with them. Originally the "company" linked to free information sites and placed the pages in "frames" so that it looked like it was their own work. Customers paid for that information. The scam, now, is paying for the free information links and then they "move" frequently and leave their paid-up customers without services. 3) Post these same instructions on any other lists today so that Prodigy has a better chance of finding the spammers. -- Linda Emerson Coordinator - Union Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania http://www.rootsweb.com/~paerie/townships/Union.htm ============================== Create a FREE family website at MyFamily.com! http://www.myfamily.com/banner.asp?ID=RWLIST2
