Hello list, I have now added the following Obit Image: Mrs. Horace LYONS It can be found at the following URL: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cranford/luzpa011.html I have no further info on the LYONS family. This record was beside a record that my cousin and I were looking for and I thought it would be nice to add this one as well in hopes that it may help someone with their research. The 1873 Atlas maps are necessarily very large. Otherwise you couldn't read any of the names. The only way you can print the big ones (possibly) is to save them to your hard disk; then bring them up in a graphics program like Photoshop or PaintShopPro. Then you can manipulate the size and do many other things. When I did them I tried to make them as small as possible and still read most of the names. However, I was working from tape print-outs so the quality is not very good. If I could ever get hold of an original or old duplicate original, I could do much better. Hi What cemeteries are located in Bear Creek, Clifton, Thornhurst area? Janet
One of the problems is the image is very, very large. The widest width an image should be for a website is 800 pixels, this one is over 2000 pixels. This would also explain why you can't print it, it is too large for your printer. Nancy

I've tried and tried to print out the full map of Hazleton, but for some reason only the very top edge prints. I also tried saving the image to my hard drive, but when I try to open it, I get the message that it is corrupted (not a virus message, but an error one). Anyone been able to do it? Pam Oregon

Hi all, Can anyone tell me what a Continuence Index is and what the actual records which are indexed in such an index may contain? I wrote down some entries about 15 years ago from a "Continuence Index" at the Luzerne Courthouse and upon reviewing my records, I realize I never abstracted the actual records. This site contains comprehensive information pertaining to county government, related issues, and other interesting topics such as the history of the county and its' numerous historical sites, also a list of all our municipalities.
