PeggyWe got a call this afternoon, that Jerry Glenn P'tree, s/o Tom & Elaine Perry P'tree died at Greenwood Hospital from the flu.  Will send the obit. when is complete. ------------------------------------------------- The Greenwood Commonwealth Greenwood, MS Jan 14, 2013 Deceased Name: Jerry Glenn Palmertree POPLAR CREEK - Funeral services for Jerry Glen Palmertree of Poplar Creek will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hebron Baptist Church near Poplar Creek. Mr. Palmertree, 59, died of heart failure on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was disabled. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Palmertree will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Palmertree, and a brother, James Thomas Palmertree. Mr. Palmertree is survived by his mother, Elaine Palmertree of Poplar Creek; three sisters, Alice Vance of Kilmichael, Brenda Bishop of North Carolina and Diane Palmertree of Poplar Creek; and four brothers, James Palmertree and Carroll Palmertree, both of French Camp, and Jimmy Palmertree and Curtis Palmertree, both of Poplar Creek; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. The Revs. Billy Little and Randy Dees will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Palmertree, James Palmertree, Curtis Palmertree, Carroll Palmertree, Jaime Moore and Austin Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Vance and James Bevis.
