The Winona Times Winona, MS December 1, 2011 Deceased Name: Inez Harris Mills WINONA -- Inez Harris Mills, 87, died of kidney failure on Friday, November 25, at Winona Manor in Winona. Mrs. Mills was born on March 5, 1924, to Jessie Tilman Harris and Ethel Palmertree Harris. She resided her entire life in Montgomery County near Kilmichael. Mrs. Mills worked at a local factory for 12 years and was an excellent homemaker and mother all of her life. She was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Community Baptist Church. She passed from this life on Friday, November 25, into eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior whom she loved and longed to be with for a long time. Visitation was from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, at Oliver Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Community Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 407 near Kilmichael. Bro. Jerry McNeer and Bro. Billy Little, two of her beloved pastors, officiated the service. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona handled the arrangements. Pallbearers were Mrs. Mills' nephews, Clark Rogers, Ed Rogers, Seth Rogers, Leon Rogers, and Dewayne Montgomery; and her grandson-in-law, Ken Nance. Honorary pallbearers were her beloved brother-in-law, Loyd McMahon; beloved former pastor, Bro. Hugh Bland; her nephew, Robert Rogers; Kelly Hall, Frank Rosamond, and Marion Bishop. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy "Slim" Mills; son, Jessie Rogers; and two sisters, Betty Garner and Loretta McMahon. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Stafford and her husband, Jerry; one son, Gale Rogers and his wife, Linda; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Rogers; all of Kilmichael; one sister, Mable Welch of Vaiden; and one very special, devoted, and loving friend and caregiver, Luther Yates of Kilmichael. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jeffrey Stafford and his wife, Debbie, of Kilmichael, Libby King and her husband, Daniel, of Winona, Mechonne Nance and her husband, Ken, of Huntsville, AL, and Katrice Tittle and her husband, Todd, of Bentonville, AR; and ten great-grandchildren, Erika Bennett and her husband, Coty, Rex Bingham, Mary Morgan Stafford, Kendall King, Kaleb King, Skylar Nance, Kallen Nance, Molly Harper Nance, Aubrey Tittle, and Sullivan Tittle.
