Dec. 18, 1997 The Winona Times\ Winona, Ms. Nellie B. "Maw Maw" Varner Mrs. Nellie B. "Maw Maw" Varner, 81, of Kilmichael, died of heart failure Saturday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Kilmichael Hospital. Mrs. Varner, a homemaker, was a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church & the widow of the late E.L. Varner. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday Dec. 14 at Pine Bluff Baptist church near Kilmichael, with Mr. Dan Beardain officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Varner is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Barbara Allen of Kilmichael & her granddaughter that she raised as her daughter, Mrs. Kelly Hall, of Kilmichael; 1 foster son, Mike Henson of Kilmichael; 1 brother, R.E. Williams of Kilmichael & 1 grandson, Jason Allen of Kilmichael. Pallbearers were James Watson, Billy Wayne Beckwith, Jr., Perry Vaughn. Wayne Henson, David Lee Bailey & Sonny Simons. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge o arrangements.
