Oliver Funeral Home of Winona Winona, Ms. March 6, 2013 Maxie Pullen July 16, 1932 -- March 6, 2013 Funeral services for Maxie Pullen of Kilmichael will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Mr. Dan Beardain will officate the services. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, from 5:00until 7:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home. Mr. Pullen died of heart failure at his residence on Wednesday, March 6,. He was 80 years old. Mr. Pullen was the son of the late Thomas Preston & Leola Youngblood Pullen. He was a retire farmer, cattleman & truck driver. Mr Pullen was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War & a member of the Big Black Masonic Lodge. He was a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mickey Pullen, & a granddaughter, Pazlee Greenlee. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Braswell Pullen of Kilmichael; 3 daughters, Mackie Greenlee of Kilmichael, Mitzie Henson of Sarasota, Fla., & Christy Pullen Brown of Meridian; 2 sisters, Wavylon Orsborn & Mary Morgan of Winona; 9 grandchildren & 6 great grandson.
