The Grenada Star Grenada, MS March 7, 2013 Maxie Pullen Funeral services for Maxie Pullen, 80, of Kilmichael, are at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Mr. Pullen died March 6, 2013, at his residence of heart failure. He was the son of the late Thomas Preston and Leola Youngblood Pullen. Mr. Pullen was a retired farmer, cattleman, and truck driver.He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Big Black Masonic Lodge and a Baptist. In addition to his parents, preceding him Pullen in death are his brother, Mickey Pullen and a granddaughter, Pazlee Greenlee. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Braswell Pullen of Kilmichael; three daughters, Mackie Greenlee of Kilmichael, Mitzie Henson of Sarasota, Fla., and Christy Pullen Brown of Meridian; two sisters, Wavylon Orsborn of Winona and Mary Morgan of Winona; nine grandchildren and six great-grandsons.
