    1. Re: [PTREE] I love those sliders!!
    2. I am worn out! Amanda and Triston came in last Friday and will leave in the morning. My son-in-law's, Rocky, birthday is tomorrow so she has to get back for that. He likes pineapple cake so I baked him two this morning, one upside down cake and one of a recipe that I have where you bake the cake, then punch holes all over it, pour pineapple juice over it and chill. Then spread crushed pineapple over it and then whipped topping. One made out of coconut like that is better and use coconut water in can from store. Has to be kept in frig. Amanda has been busy going here and there ever since she got here and Triston, 5 1/2, has been on computer probably half of each day. I don't have to cook for them as she likes to go out to favorite mexican café. That is where they are now. I didn't want to go. After my last spell with my back, I thought it was hip, my back doctor had a new MRI done and he said not enough change to do any surgery. I sure was glad of that and my new pain doctor is talking about putting one of those things in that works automatically. I will go back shortly and talk to him now that I know surgery is not needed. He said it would take care of the pain when I walk and stand. That would be wonderful! Peggy, I have been to the Mejier store in Jeffersonville, IN several times. It is about like one of the larger Kroger stores or an HEB which you may not have there. Jeffersonville is across the river from Louisville, KY. My great grand daughter in Ohio is now in middle school, I think she called it, and John S is already there. They had some kind of play or program at Chloe's school today and she sang a solo. She is the one that loves horses, takes riding lessons, and says when she is out of high school she wants to go to Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth area, her mother went there, and then wants to own a horse ranch in TX. Steph has almost finished her doctorate degree and will be known as Dr. Stephanie Butkus, PHD! Enough! They will be back soon as Triston will probably want the computer! -----Original Message----- From: Srod46@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, May 29, 2013 8:46 PM To: palmertree@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PTREE] I love those sliders!! Ken, the only way we get the real White Castle sliders back here is frozen from Walmart. We love those things. We always have them when we go to Louisville. Back when we first married, on the way to KY. we would stop at the first one which would be St Louis, I think we got about 6 apiece and a quart of coke and that took us to Louisville. We don't eat that many any more but do still like them. I like their fish sandwiches also. In St Louis, that was one of those Crispy Creme places close to White Castle. A Double Whammy!!!! Well must stop talking about this fast food. Or I will go crazy in my pantry!! Later Nova . In a message dated 5/29/2013 7:34:21 P.M. Nothing new for me. I did get some mucous pills to help with this crazy stuff that keeps stopping me up. I have about lost my voice, it seems like. I can just hear my mother now, "Kenny, don't clear you throat so hard - you'll ruin it." Well, I guess I've ruint it, cause all I do is hack and cough, trying to expel those little demons that are in there, making themselves at home. I sound like a bear growling and I hate it. I also think it might have something to do with that intubation tube I had while in the hospital. I would hate to think that they accidentally did something to ruin my wonderful voice (ha ha.) However, a nice lawsuit would be a nice little diversion..... After Wal-Mart I realized I hadn't eaten yet, so went across the setrre and got a bag of White Castle sliders, then drove around a cemetery near there eating them and looking at graves. Morbid. Oh, the pleasures of being a genealogist... I also bought a 10 lb. bag of Florida navel oranges at Wal-Mart for $6.95. Gonna have a big one (orange) after supper tonight. I love fresh fruit. For years after I found out I was diabetic I would shun friut like it was the plague. I thought a deabetic couldn't eat fruit. Well, when I was hospitalized it 2008, they brought me a piece of fruit at every meal. I thought, "don't they know I'm a diabetic???". Then I found out it was part of a low-calorie/sugar diet. So when I got home, I started incorporating fresh fruit into my diet and have done that for a few years now. I usually have apples, black grapes, oranges and how in season, cherries in my fridge, so I have a choice each day. Yum for me. Ok, time to go eat my beans with fingers.
