Birth: Dec. 6, 1939 Death: May 29, 2013 [Edit Dates] Gloria Ann Overstreet Cain (December 6, 1939 - May 29, 2013) Gloria Ann Overstreet Cain, 73, of Vaiden died of cancer at her residence on Wednesday, May 29. Mrs. Cain was the daughter of the late Calloway and Hazel Price Overstreet. She was a retired nurse and a member of Hebron Baptist Church near Vaiden. She served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a juvenile court probation officer. She also served on the board of Kilmichael Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Cain of Vaiden; sons, Michael Walden and Elvis Walden; and brother, Rev. Harvey Overstreet. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home, and Saturday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church near Vaiden. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Hebron Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Harvey Overstreet, Rev. George Phelps, and Dr. Duran Palmertree will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Clayton Palmertree, Troy Hodges, Terry Cauthen, Ronnie Allen, Calvin Johnson, and Jeff Rodgers.
