I don't think I'll be eating much green salad for a while. I love salads, and they are a staple in my diet. Especially with being diabetic - like what is there to eat without sugar and carbs in it???? Anyway, stopped by a drive-in restaurant the other day to get a blue plate special for dinner. While waiting for the carhop to bring my order, I was interested in a hand-written sign on the entrance door: "Due to the recent freeze in California, the price of lettuce has gone up. Well, was in Wal-Mart a few hours ago and went through the vegetable aisle - noticed the price of iceberg was $1.75 a head. I bet I don't let my lettuce ruin like I used to.... It's always been pricey in "supermarkets", though. Always tried to find the best price around town on it. I just hate the thought of paying almost $2.00 for iceberg lettuce. Ken
