Palmertree, who resided in the Eastern part of the county, and who was shot at Taylor's Depot Christmas day, died of the wound and was buried last Sunday. He was shot by a man named Williams. After Thomas Newton Palmertree died in 1885, Roxie Gibson Palmertree married Monroe McGehee, and they had one daughter, Lela A. McGehee, who married Henry Rosenstein about 1916.
