    3. Don, No, I sure didn't know there was only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. Now, you know we learned some Hawaiian words from Hawaii Five-O, like: Kahuna (big chief) Lanai (balcony) Haole (Causacian) Hapa Haole (mixed person, Caucasian and Hawaiian) Kane (man) Kamehameha (Hawaiian King) Luau (feast) Lei (flower necklace) Lolo (crazy) Malihini (newcomer to the island) Moke (big, tuff, local guy) Pali (cliff) Wahini (woman) Wiki wiki (hurry) I sure like to watch that show. Wish I could find it in syndication now. Ken

    3. Hey Ken, You would just fit right in over there, knowing all those Hawaiian words and you used all 12 letters in their alphabet! The vowels, a, e, i, o, u and the consonants h, k, l, m, n, p, & w. Also, you reminded me I know more than 2 Hawaiian words! Poor Retha......I think most everybody she knows wanted something from over there! They didn't check any luggage going over, but had to check their two small suitcases going home and were loaded down with carry on bags. On United Airlines you can check one suitcase up to 50# for $15. Over 50# costs $125. Two bags 50# or less is $64. I had to transfer some things from my suitcase to my carry on. They didn't check my weight going over. Two people from where Retha works wanted Kona coffee. She got some blended coffee for them. The cheapest 100% Kona that I saw was around $29 a pound. I don't usually buy souvenirs except the macadamia nut candy. Most things might have Hawaii on them, but are made in China, Mexico or who knows where. I just bring back pictures and memories. 3. Morning Everybody. I hope all our list members are safe and sound and had a nice Christmas. Got sunshine here in No. Calif. but chilly. Just went to the store and had ice all over my car, the gauge said 39 degrees. Took a while to get the ice melted on the windshield and longer to get the driver's side window down. Take care.........Donnie
