Most of us higginbothams (or as some people spell it Higginbottom) are from the Delta and around Vardaman, I think. I have the Higginbotham book and in it is a Mae Ethel Higginbotham, born in Montgomery Cty in 1910. She grew up near Winona where she married Edd Donohoo, September 26, 1926. They had eleven children. She is kin to me as we both originated from Moses Higginbotham. She was a cousin of my grandfather who was born in 1898. My father was James Durwood Higginbotham, born in 1922 in Tallahatchie County. He grew up in Clarksdale. He married my mom Virginia Burns and I was born in Clarksdale in 1946. Well Lynn, you are on top of this family research. This is the right Mrs. Ethel, Patsy & I were talking about. She was a talker for sure. Never met a stranger & I think she loved everyone she met.
