The Clarion-Ledger Jackson, MS March 6, 2009 Bob Evans Bob Evans, age 88, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts on November 13, 1920, to Natt and Emily Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Odene Canon Evans. Bob and Odene lived in Jackson for over 60 years and were active members for 43 years at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Bob was also an active member of Civitan and a former employee of Robinson Brothers and Industrial Lubrications. Bob is survived by his son, Jim Evans and his wife, Jeri of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughters, Kelly Nelson of Shrewsbury, Vermont and Latesha Brewster of Spring Branch, Texas; three great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. A graveside service will be held 1 pm Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS. Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am Saturday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
