    3. Our weatherman says it will fizzle out before it gets here, too. It did hit the FL panhandle today and they got some heavy stuff ... wind and rain. I am down in the Tampa Bay area and it hasn't rained much in several months. The water authority has issued some strict water restrictions for watering lawns and washing cars....the place where most of our water comes from (a lake near Tampa) is way down. We could seriously use some rain. It's going to be bad when it does start. The last time we had a long dry spell and then got a heavy rain, the water didn't soak in - it just ran off real fast. Within a very short time, the water collected in the low places and flooded several streets. Ken - be sure and Google for the People's Pharmacy. That is two doctors (husband and wife ) who write a newspaper column. http://peoplespharmacy.us/ They had several columns on curing something with gin soaked raisins...it was either arthritis or gout. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed Brown" <ebrown7137@bellsouth.net> To: <palmertree@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 26, 2009 5:45 PM Subject: Re: [PTREE] weather > It all fizzles out before it gets over here Peggy,, so far we have only > seen > a few light showers, the say thundershowers may get strong Sat. afternoon, > but they also said we would get lots of rain by now, phooey, I could do > just > as will forecasting the weather.... > > > ED > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "peggy palmertree" <psmpalmertree@bellsouth.net> > To: <PALMERTREE@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, March 26, 2009 8:41 AM > Subject: [PTREE] weather > > >> >> >> The state of Miss. has had a round with some bad tornados. 1. [PTREE] arthritis raisins
    2. Ken Jackson
    3. Dorothy, I had heard of this remedy a few years ago, but didn't think any more about it until your note. It is a folk cure for arthritis, and can be used for any form of arthritis, including gout. I think I will skip this one, since gin doesn't like me. Back in my wild 30s when I lived in Memphis, I had gone to a bar one night and had copious amounts of gin (mixed with something). Well, about 4 a.m. the next morning I woke up sprawled out on the hood of my Oldsmobile in the bar's parking lot. I decided to try to get home and guess I made it somehow. The next day I was telling my apartment neighbor about it and I told her I didn't remember driving home. She said, "well, I bet that man in front of you and that man behind you remember you driving home!" I thought that was so hilarious. So I guess cherry juice will hopefully work... Ken
