The Winona Times Winona, MS Nov 4, 1982 Edwin Louis Varner Obituary Edwin Louis Varner, 68, a retired carpenter of Kilmichael, died Oct 30, 1982 at Kilmichael Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Montgomery County, he was married to the former Nellie Rogers. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Barbara Allen of Kilmichael; his mother, Stella Kinchen of Baton Rouge; a foster son, Mike Henson of Kilmichael; a brother, Marshall Varner of Baton Rouge; and a sister, Ouida Webber of Winona. He also leaves 3 step-sisters, Alice Nickens of Prairieville, La., Helen Erwin of Baton Rouge and Edwina Guillott of Erwinville, La.; and a granddaughter, Kathy Allen Bailey of Kilmichael. Funeral services were held at Pine Bluff Baptist Church at 11 a.m Monday, November 1st with Dan Beardain and Rev. C.E. Burden officiating. Pallbearers were W.T. Rosamond, Earl Bailey, Jr., Perry Vaughn, Otis Vaughn, Walter Trotter, David Costilow, George Jones, and Johnny Varner.
