    3. We haven't had any rain in Tampa Bay in weeks and the TV weatherman says there is none in sight. I'll have to spend my time doing other things. I'm gardening a little - but the soil is so dry it is almost impossible to get anything to live now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeannine K Smith" <jks1@ra.msstate.edu> To: <palmertree@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 10, 2009 9:58 AM Subject: [PTREE] Time to get busy > > OK guys. 1. [PTREE] Attn: Nova - need your help!
    2. Nova, In the Maxine Dees Parks obituary I recently posted, it states that she was born in Oiltown, Oklahoma. I have searched everywhere but cannot seem to find any indication of what county this town is or was located in. I have found a half dozen - dozen references to this town in some family history data and snippits like "died in Oiltown, Oklahoma" or "born in Oiltown, Oklahoma", so I know this place has to have existed. The closest thing I can come up with is Oilton, Oklahoma, which is in Creek County, OK, but I don't think this is the same town. Could you do me a favor and see if you can find out anything about this town? Thanks a lot. Ken
