    3. Thanks Deb for your memories, plus let us know you are ok. I still haven't heard from Ken. Haven't had time to call his sister, but I bet she went to see her children in Ala. this long weekend. Ed, glad that you are also ok. Those people in Aiken, S.C. could be some of my kin folks. That is where my Mother's father was from. My hill was cover in children hunting eggs this afternoon. The church came here, but about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs it was all over, but I still have the other family. Just wish I had my lunch for Sunday cooked. You're lucky Deb. Too bad they wouldn't say anything for a good ham sandwich, but Aunt Peggy don't do that.

    3. Well I have learned a few short cuts cooking my ham, I have a large oval crock-pot and I cook it in there. This time had to trim a couple slices of the side and next thing I knew my husband had them on the grill. I pour a bit of coke on it take the salt out and since the lid won't fit just cover it with foil and then cook it on low all day. I usually need my oven for other things. or if it is hot as blue blazes outside and the last thing I want to do is lite an oven so into the crock-pot it goes and I can later sit back with a ham sandwich and some home grown tomatoes ( I add a tad of mao my husband always tells me I am killing it as he adds a half bottle of mustard to his. ----- Original Message ----- From: "peggy palmertree" <psmpalmertree@bellsouth.net> To: <PALMERTREE@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 11, 2009 6:52 PM Subject: [PTREE] weather > > > Thanks Deb for your memories, plus let us know you are ok.
