Howell Bingham, Sr., 78, a horticulturist and grower for Love's Greenhouses for 35 years, died Friday, 6 February 2009, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday, 8 February 2009, from 12-2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko is handling the arrangements. Reverend Billy Little and Reverend Randy Dees will officiate the service. After retirement, Howell built his own business, Bingham's Plant Farm, along with his son, Howell Bingham, Jr. He attended Church of God and the Baptist church. Survivors include: his wife, Wilma Dees Bingham of Kosciusko; son, Howell Bingham, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Kosciusko; daughter, Peggy Pepper and husband, Marvin of Madison and Linda Hatter and husband, David of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother, Calvin Bingham and Barney Bingham of Carmack; and sister, Melba Nail of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Clayton and Brad Pepper, Coley and David Hatter, and Tyler Bingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zebidiah and Ludie Strahan Bingham. Memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
