The Greenwood Commonwealth Greenwood, MS September 19, 2008 Daniel Delano Fielder Sr. WINONA -- Services for Daniel Delano "D.D." Fielder Sr. of Winona will be at 2 p.m. today at Oliver Chapel. Mr. Fielder, 82, died of complications from a stroke Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at his home. Mr. Fielder was the son of the late Rufus Allen Fielder and the late Lela Mae Greenlee Fielder. He was a retired auto mechanic, auto mechanics teacher, and former chief of police for the City of Winona. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War; a member of the VFW; a member of the American Legion; and a member of North Winona Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Nell Fielder, of Winona; three daughters, Ranelle Eubanks of Rison, Ark., Susan Coleman of Florence, and Betty Jo Lambert of Jay, Fla.; his son, Danny Fielder, of Winona; his sister, Chloe Fielder, of Winona; his brother, Burnette Fielder, of Gore Springs; and four grandchildren. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona. The Rev. Ed McDaniel, assisted by the Rev. Rusty Fair, will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Braswell, James Alford, Walter Alford, Tim McBride, Phillip Patridge and Adam Coleman. Oliver Funeral Home in Winona is in charge of arrangements.
