Ken The Star-Herald Kosciusko, MS May 08, 2009 Charlotte Tyler Hodges Iva Charlotte Hodges Tyler, 93, of Kosciusko, a homemaker, died May 5, 2009 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are May 8, 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. Mrs. Tyler departed this life May 5, 2009 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1915 in the New Salem Community of Attala County to the late Dolphus Dewitt and Estelle Holley Hodges. She received her education at Holley Grove School. She married Henry Kelly (Doc) Tyler on April 16, 1932 and they ere married for 61 years at his death in 1993. She was a retired inspector for Garan. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kosciusko. She is survived by sons, Louis W. Tyler and Patrick H. Tyler; granddaughters, Toni Tyler, Shelle T. Pinkard and husband Jimmy, Cynde T. Jones, Tracy T. Weaver and husband, Bryan; grandsons, Sgt. H. Kelly Tyler II and wife, Amanda and Cory E. Tyler; great-grandson, Tyler Weaver; great-granddaughters, Tolle P. Nail and husband Zack, Lindsey Pinkard, Aubrey P. Lepard and husband, Justin, Cambry Pinkard, Ashley Sims, Annie Sims, Meagan Weaver; sister, Dorothy H. Yates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Tyler; a son, Shelly R. Tyler; parents, Dolphus Dewitt and Estelle Holley Hodges; brothers, James Hodges, Holley Hodges, John Hodges and Dolphus Hodges; sisters, Delores Hodges, Mary H. Steen, Jessie H. Bond. Pallbearers are Kelly Tyler II, Cory Tyler, Bryan Weaver, Julius Tyler Sr., Sammy Yates, Jamie Yates, Dwight Bond, and Jimmy Pinkard. Memorials may be sent to the First baptist Church Television Ministry.
