I hope they all make a quick recovery. I'm rushing through this msg before this thing crashes again. We have overcast skies and wind again this morning. I tried to tell everyone Thanks for the birthday wishes ( 71 yrs but still younger than Basil. ha)earlier this week and it would crash before I could get it sent. So if you write and don't get an answer for several days, that is why. We actually went to the storm shelter night before last. Chico and I stayed down there a lot longer than Joe because the storm radio kept saying there were low hanging clouds and conditions were such that something could lower out of the dark and rain right over our house, they kept mentioning the lake area just 1/4? mile north of us as a spot in a wide area for something to happen, so I just sat down there and read. I didn't want to make a quick run back in just a little while, if we had time anyway. It reminded be of being a kid going to the old cellar, the women and kids sitting down there the whole time and the men up outside standing around the door. I always said then that when I grew up, I would be one of the ones standing around outside in the fresh air. But the other night I was very happy sitting in the storm shelter reading until the radio called the all clear. Not far from us it blew away car ports and uprooted trees etc, but nothing right here. Northwest OK and Northwest OKC usually get it worse than we do, but several different spots were hit the other night. Again Peggy, I hope your friends and relatives make quick recoveries. Take care. 3. Well Nova, I was beginning to worry that you got blow away. Just hope you don't get up in one of those clouds & end up in the Miss. River. That would be something. You would be so near that you could call us to come get you. Good to have you back among the living. Peggy > > > In a message dated 5/15/2009 9:12:05 P.M. 2. Well Nova, I was beginning to worry that you got blow away. Just hope you don't get up in one of those clouds & end up in the Miss. River. Peggy, I got on line this time by going thru Explorer. We live just south of Stanley Draper Lake which is near Tinker AFB and SE OKC if you check the map. We went to see Patti Lovelace last night at one of the local casinos,?we're not gamblers at all, I did play bingo?ONCE on our vacation and won.?But they didn't get any of it back from me. I'm not against gambling, just would rather spend?money on things like chocolate or clothes.?I did use some of it to purchase some reams of special copy paper for the research library. I kidded them about it being from my illgotten gains. Patti is one of Joe's favorite country singers. Some of it was almost like rock and roll but?it was a great concert. Joe likes her more traditional country songs the best. ? What has happened to O.D.?? He used to tell about?which singer or group that?they had just seen?in concert etc. Sure hope they are both OK?? Well, I'm getting tired of this weather and the thunder all the time. You have to just keep going about your business and figure out "OK are those weather guys really warning us or just covering themselves in case something really does come up?"? or you would never be able to leave your house!???? Peggy, it was really funny when little Matthew saw his dad's twin bro Uncle Thomas again, He was too little to notice that John and Thomas looked so much?alike last time Tom flew in. This time John picked Tom up at the airport, when John walked in out here, little?Matthew smiled up at him and then Tom walked in, Matthew looked from one to the other, almost bent over, looked at both of them again, then ran and jumped in Grandpa Joe's lap. I think he figured I know who this guy is!!!? Then when John smiled and said 'Son, give me a hug." he ran to him, but kept looking over at Tom. We had?our twins the normal way 44 yrs ago, as a surprise,?not like all these Hollywood people, who nearly?ALL are having twins these days in different ways. That is really strange. Anyway...... Talk later,?? Nova .
