Hi Nova, this is the type stuff that drives you mad isn't it? I have found that often if I use exclamination points, questions marks or the apostrophe some e-mail programs that the recipient uses will change them into all sorts of wierd things. After reading about your problems with Hughes Net and dialup I was going to suggest you do what I did when I relied on dialup. I would open my e-mail and read them. The ones I wanted to respond to I would copy and past into a Word document. Then I would write my response in Word, reconnect to the internet, open the e-mail I wanted to respond to and paste the resonse into it. That sounds complicated, but by typing my response off-line and using paste to put it into my message when I hit "Reply" it limited the time I had to keep a good connection. I had time to think about and could make a longer reply without fear of being kicked off and losing what I had written. It may not work for you, I just offer it as a suggestion.
