Ken ---------------------------------------- Oliver Funeral Home Online Obituaries Winona, MS Kenneth McEachern (August 24, 1921 - January 14, 2009) Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth McEachern of Vaiden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with interment following in Midway Cemetery near Vaiden. Rev. Morris Taylor will officiate the services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, from 5:00 until 8:30 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home. Mr. McEachern died of heart failure at his residence on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. He was 87 years old. Mr. McEachern was the son of the late Daniel and Julia Ross McEachern. He was a retired U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Ellenburg McEachern. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Garrett of Columbus and Deborah Mills of Brandon; two sons, Kenneth Wayne McEachern of Reno, Nevada, and Robert L. McEachern of Tupelo; one sister, Julia Warren of Shreveport, Louisiana; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Midway Cemetery Fund, c/o James Devine, 49572 Highway 430, Vaiden, MS 39176; or to the Shongalo Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 137, Vaiden, MS 39176.
