The Star Herald Kosciusko, Ms. Nov. 15, 1964 Zebbie Dees rites held at New Salem Mr. Zebbie Dees retired farmer of the Shady Grove Community of Attala County died at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital, Wednesday night following an illness of several years. He was 73. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the New Salem Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.E. Burden officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery directed by Nowel Funeral Home. He was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Dees of Shady Grove; 6 sons, Robert Edward Dees, Jackson; Leo Dees, Maurice Dees, Leroy Dees, Zebbie Dees, Jr., all of Shady Grove & John Henry Dees of Carmack; 3 daughters, Mrs. Nellie Morgan, Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Wilma Bingham, Kosciukso, Mrs. Earline Bingham, Frankfort, Germany; 2 brothers, Robert Dees, Shady Grove & Houston Dees, Jackson, & 2 half brothers, Elton Dees & Felton Dees, Shady Grove; 1 sister, Mrs. Bessie Nailer, Kosciusko; 5 half sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Gibson, Mrs. Katie Bell Gibson, both of Shady Grove, Mrs. Ellie Mae Ryals, Yazoo City, Mrs. Lois Hodge & Mrs. Mary Sue Caldwell, both of Kosciusko, 21 grandchildrene.
