Jeannine, thank you so much. I put my request in with abebooks.com. Hope it doesn't take two years! They buy books from all over the country, estate sales, book stores, individuals, you name it. I had the Montgomery County book listed for about two years before one became available. I will warn you to be prepared for a high price as the book is out of print and rare. The man that sold it to me had an Uncle that was from Montgomery County but none of the family was left there and had not been there in nearly 50 years. He said he just wanted to get the book back to Mississippi so he sold it. It is something that most people would not want to get rid of but there may be someone who has passed away and the family could possible have an extra one. > > Peggy, sure have missed you on here and hope you are feeling better. > > Beth > ------------------------------- > Visit the Palmertree Family History website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~palmrtre/index.htm > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > ------------------------------- Visit the Palmertree Family History website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~palmrtre/index.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
You might want to try searching Amazon.com. Afterall, that's how Amazon started out was as a book seller/reseller. There's quite a few books searching for "Montgomery County", who was the author(s) of the book? paul ________________________________ From: Beth Austin <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, August 1, 2011 10:26:13 AM Subject: Re: [PTREE] History of Montgomery County Jeannine, thank you so much. Paul, thanks. I did search on Amazon but nothing turned up. The book was written by Evelyn Bell Crouch in 1993. Actually it was a joint project.
