3 yrs ago my special friend in Ind. went this way. I took care of him the last month and he just went down so fast. They tried the radiation but it did not help and I would take him for it and he could hardly make it and couldn't get his shirt on last couple of treatments. It was so frustrating to see him going through that and not much you could do except give him pain medication which didn't help unless it put him to sleep. -----Original Message----- From: Ed brown Sent: Saturday, August 20, 2011 9:12 AM To: Peggy Palmertree ; [email protected] Subject: Re: [PTREE] Donnie Peggy, I lost two good army buddies in the last couple of years both to lung cancer, and both smoked for years but had quit long before the cancer developed....very sad to hear about Donnie and the suffering he is going thru.... I think he said they are trying to shrink the cancer in his lungs to stop the pain. I hope he doesn't have it for very long. It seems the doctor he sees is very good. She has brought him from a death bed to here and that is good for now. ------------------------------- Visit the Palmertree Family History website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~palmrtre/index.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
