I received this email from Peggy this morning, so thought I would just post it so everyone will know she is still alive and kicking, even if that is more slowly for a while. This is her first email a few days ago: (I had to do a test yesterday & have a upper & lower done. I knew I had a large hiatal hernia; some stuff was taken to do biopsy; the nurse said medicine would work. I was told to eat a High Fiber Diet. I don't know where to start. When I had blood work done it was almost at rock bottom & I had to have some blood. I went to Grenada & I made some of the people in the building's day. I fell flat on my face. Messed up my shoulder, but had it x-rayed & it wasn't broke. Glad Ken wasn't there for you could have heard him all over the place. Tell the line I'm not died yet, but I hope I can get someone to come over one of these days. The guy who worked on my other one, they are having a family problem & I'm afraid he may want to think I will ask questions. So this is what I've been doing in the last month. But she keeps up with us on the P'tree list archives so we can just talk about her all we want and she will see it there. I've been reading a book, in the last few days, since I've been in the drs. offices. I finished it a few min. ago. When I get into a book, I do hate to put it down. I'm having one of those nights I can't go to sleep. So I took a nerve pill & just check the comp. to let the pill kick in. I pull up the archives & have been keeping up with the line that way. No one has been putting the obits on, so guess no one is interested in them, so if something happens to me, my obit. won't be put on line. Then I may just come back & put the jenks on everyones comp. so it won't work. I'm glad you are having all the tests you need to stay healthy and keep this line in order. I love it when you threaten people. Ha ha but please don't jinx my computer with kids and relatives all over I love keeping in touch with them online. I know you are only teasing but you might just use some of that MS. Voo Doo on us!! I want to know what kind of books you are reading, that you can't put down. I ruined Joe completely, he did only read nonfiction and lots of early American biographies, he was out of books a few months ago and I gave him one of my mystery books to read, he has changed over to reading them like Evelyn Woods, I shovel them in and he reads them as fast as he can. About half-way thru the first one, he told me he had never read a book before that made him want to stay awake to read. Well, he has joined the mystery book club. ha His favorite author is John Sanford - Detective Lucas Davenport and the Prey series. They are not for the weak hearted. He keeps a list of all Sanford titles in his billfold so he can check all the used book shelves, library, goodwill etc he ACTUALLY bought one new paperback when it first came out. No more reading about George Washington and Andrew Jackson. Yep, I've ruined him.
