    2. Thanks for the info. It was neat to see some of my closer relatives listed on the line. I read all of the msgs trying to learn about the MS. P'trees and relatives but was pleased to see Ben Joseph's name here. Ben and Ada also had a son Jesse Henry P'tree. He and Vera Mae survived the typhoid epidemic that took seven members of our family including Ben, Ada and little Mary in the first three months of 1922. Jesse and Vera were raised on the family farm, Vera had children the age of my sisters and I and moved to Ca way back in the late 30s or early 40s. She worked at an air craft plant. Jesse and another cousin were like our big brothers and we remained close until his death after we retired from the AF and moved back here to OK. He liked to tease and would always call me Nub. Vera is still living in Calif. Her granddaughter and I share info. I never asked my Grandmother Mary Ann why , (wish I had) but I never heard Ben Joseph called anything but Major by Granny and her daughters when they spoke about him, he had been gone for several years when my Mom married into the family and she didn't know either. I later found out he was never in the service, so it must have been a nickname. Last time I visited Vera Mae at her long time home in La Harbra, CA. she gave me a wedding ring quilt she had made. I love that quilt so much. It makes me think of old times in Wynnewood View and pallets and all that ole home stuff of families and farms etc. Vera now lives in a retirement center near her daughter. Thanks for giving me such great memories tonight. I needed them!! Nova . In a message dated 7/30/2011 5:13:29 P.M. 3. Thanks for all the info to add to my FTM. I knew one day I would get it all connected. Back in March I rejoined Ancestry.com as they have made many changes and improvements. Lisa Ruppe had asked a question on Palmertree Group and that is how I got started on that particular part of the family. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2011 10:51 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PTREE] OKLA P'trees Thanks for the info.
