He has moved back to where they had been living before this last move. Still in Tenn. I would think if he had his computer hooked up, he might be online with us? Donnie did sound stronger when I was talking to him the other day than he had before. and Peggy was as funny and sassy on the phone tonight as she always is. Remember you can talk to Peggy because she is keeping up with us on the archives, so I'd better not say too much about her. Right Peggy? Later Nova . In a message dated 6/23/2011 2:49:16 P.M. Glad to hear Donnie is doing ok, wish him the best in his fight against the big C.. I is showering around here right now and that is really a welcome sight..... Hope everyone finds some way to beat the heat, I played golf for the first time in a month its just been so hot, I did not want to get outside unless it was necessary..... I missed the hoedown too, and did not get to my high school reunion this year... hopefully next time... Just wondering if we still have a group? I missed the hoedown this year, if you went, why don't you tell us a few highlights. I am still making picklelickles for get-togethers. Everyone loves them. Is that what you call it in MS or something else, when I looked up the recipe? online there were several names. Anyone else have a great recipe you could let us know about? My next trip is to a nephew's wedding in Bend, Oregon. That should be fun. Peggy, are you back online? I thought we would have heard from you, you should have several news bits for us by now. Just talked to Donnie G. this morning. He still doesn't have his computer online yet. They are still working on his house. He and his brother both had dr. appts today. Well, Joe and I have had none of the damage you might have heard on the news about OK wind or tornadoes. Weather comes through here in strips, but all from the SW. The day, I think it was the 14th there was so much damage and they show some of it on Utube etc, I went into the storm shelter and Joe sat outside of it and watched things but we didn't even have leaves blown off trees. So Thankful. I have chicken cooking to make chic and dumplings. I make the easy delicious Bisquick ones. None of that long rolling and cutting thin strips of dough for the dumplings Mom made, they were delicious but if we like the easy bisquick kind, that's what I am going to make. A cousin sent me Paula Deen's recipe for Lemon Blossom mini cupcakes. it makes 5 doz. I had bought pans and never used them so this was a great first use. I took a basket to the research library to share with the other volunteers. I don't like paper on cupcakes so will not make more than two pans which is still 48 mini muffins and made Joe a few reg. size ones. With out the papers I would have had to wash those mini pans between each use and can't see that happening!! They have a lemon glaze over them and are delicious. Well, not knowing if anyone is getting this, I will close and see if I hear from anyone.
