I had to buy a cheapo pair of house shoes after my legs and feet started swelling last year because of the fluid buildup. I normally wear a size 9 shoe, but had to get a size 11 to fit my swollen feet. Even had to go so far as cutting the elastic that stretches when you wear them. Well, they are made of a sort of suede fabric, and now that I don't have much fluid buildup with these support hose, they are like flip flops. I continuously walk out of them. The other night I slipped them off and just slid them under the bed to get them out of the way. Well, when I went to bed, I forgot about them being there. Before I go to bed at nightI turn off the lamp by my desk ,which is across the room, then I have to feel my way back to the bed - those of you who wear glasses know what I mean - and I have problems seeing in the dark anyway. Well I accidentally bumped my house shoes with one foot. You could have heard be down the block when I yelled. I swear, it felt like a rat had run across my foot. Then I realized what it really was. Felt so dumb about yelling like that. So needless to say, I moved my shoes so that rat won't run across my foot anymore - ha. Just to lighten the day.
