    3. I still say there is a message behind all these natural disasters and they seem to get worse and worse. If people are not flooding, dropping through the earth, burning by fire, parched from lack of water or being washed into the oceans they are facing some other kind of disaster. During the month of August we had only one day that was below 100+. Thank the Lord we have cooled off a bit. The land is parched from lack of water and has cracks big enough to break a leg if a person or livestock step in one. Ponds and tanks, as they are called here, drying up and killing the fish and no water for wildlife or cattle. Big, big wildfire right now in the Bastrop area which is toward Austin from here. Already lost 300 homes and two died in mobile home that burned in the wildfire. It is out of control now. Two fires merged together and it is like 4 miles wide and 10+ miles long. We've not had any real close but have had some where we could sees the smoke. Houston Fire Chief said on TV this week they had answered calls to 600 fire in a period they normally had 90. Firefighters are worn out from racing from one place to another. In north Texas at Possum Kingdom Lake some areas have burned twice! Lost lots of homes up there. Ed, I am like you about the rain. Yesterday eve it sprinkled just a little but still need rain so bad. Went to Sam's and Wal-Mart , Sat. I think, to pickup my prescriptions and they both had closed Pharmacy early! One was my depression medicine which keeps me from wanting to cry all the time and today I am not in good shape. Sam's is still closed today so will be tomorrow before I can start getting back to normal. I have got to make myself getup and water the flowers and do other things to keep my mind occupied. It is hard to do that when my energy level is low. Hope all of you have a good Labor Day.
